    The vision of the SPS Curriculum & Instruction Department is to partner with teachers and staff to create inclusive learning communities in order to provide equitable, culturally responsive, and authentic learning experiences for all students which will empower them to embark on pathways to college and career readiness and global citizenship.

    C & I Goals:
    Support effective teaching and learning to maximize student success by:

    • Building teacher capacity in effective and engaging tier one instruction through professional development such as modeling, coaching, co-planning,

    • Supporting data-driven instructional decisions through data disaggregation and data discussion protocols

    • Supporting the creation of aligned instructional resources and balanced assessments

    • Support and strengthen evidence-based enrichment and remediation intervention strategies

    • Promoting nurturing, authentic and culturally relevant learning opportunities
