Suffolk Public Schools has officially reopened applications for select Specialty Programs for the 2025–2026 school year. From May 9 through May 30, 2025, rising 9th grade students (current 8th graders) will have the opportunity to apply for limited openings in two of the division’s prestigious academic programs.

The following programs currently have available spaces:

• PLTW Biomedical Sciences at Lakeland High School – 6 openings

• International Baccalaureate (IB) Program at King’s Fork High School – 4 openings

These competitive programs provide rigorous, college-preparatory experiences designed to challenge and engage students in specialized areas of study. Students and families are encouraged to act quickly, as space is limited!
