Nansemond River High School and Lakeland High School Receives National Recognition from Project Lead The Way for Their Commitment to Student Excellence
Nansemond River High School and Lakeland High School have been named 2024–25 Project Lead The Way (PLTW) Distinguished Schools for their continued excellence in STEM education. This marks the sixth consecutive recognition for Nansemond River’s Engineering program and the eighth for Lakeland’s Biomedical Sciences program.
The national PLTW honor is awarded to high schools demonstrating outstanding student access, engagement, and achievement in transformative learning experiences. Both Suffolk schools met rigorous criteria, including course offerings and student participation rates.
