Suffolk Public Schools Earns Recognition from the National School Public Relations Association

Suffolk Public Schools (SPS) has earned national recognition for excellence in school communications from the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA). Our school division received multiple honors in NSPRA’s 2025 Publications and Digital Media Excellence Awards, celebrating our commitment to high-quality, engaging communication across the school community.

SPS was recognized with a total of six awards, including:

  • 1 Merit Award in the category of School Division Publications

  • 3 Awards of Honorable Mention for:

    • School Division Newsletters

    • School Division Social Media Campaign

    • Video Produced In-House

  • 2 Awards of Excellence for:

    • Video Series Produced In-House

    • Video Produced In-House

These awards reflect our efforts to share stories, celebrate success, and keep families informed through multiple platforms—ranging from print publications and digital newsletters to social media and multimedia content.

A special acknowledgment goes to the our SPS  Communication and Community Engagement Team, whose vision and dedication have elevated the district’s ability to connect with students, staff, and families. Their creative storytelling, timely messaging, and strategic use of media have set a high standard for school public relations across the region.

NSPRA’s Publications and Digital Media Excellence Awards recognize outstanding education publications and marketing/informational materials (print and electronic), video/TV/radio programs, social media and websites. The NSPRA awards highlight best practices in school communication and are judged by industry professionals from across the country. Suffolk Public Schools is honored to be among the recipients and remains committed to continuous improvement in public engagement and outreach.
