Pre-Labor Day Start of School
At the school board meeting on Thursday, March 14, the Suffolk City School Board voted to approve the 2024-2025 calendar year with a Pre-Labor Day start of school.
This means the upcoming school year will begin on Monday, August 26, 2024, the week before Labor Day. In accordance with the Code of Virginia 22.1-79.1, the division will be closed on Friday, August 30, 2024. The last day of school for the 2024-2025 school year is June 6, 2025.
