Suffolk Public Schools will be closed on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. to allow our staff to participate in the 2025–2026 School Year Convocation.

This special event brings together all SPS employees to prepare for the upcoming school year, celebrate achievements, and align with our mission of supporting every student’s success.

Schools/buildings will reopen at 11:00 a.m. and resume their normal schedules for the remainder of the day.

Effective Monday, August 11, all Suffolk Public Schools buildings and departments will return to regular operating hours. Offices will be open Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and on Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
