At Northern Shores, we value the safety of our students. Please take a look at our guidelines for parent drop off and pick up to continue ensuring the safety of our students, staff, and community. 

Parent Drop Off-9:00 am

○ Do not pass cars in the drop off line.
○ All traffic should move in the same direction (turn right once entering our parking lot)
○ Do not enter the bus ramp.
○ Drive slow and watch for pedestrians and students exiting cars.
○ Please have students exit the car nearest the sidewalk/entrance.

The school day begins at 9:25 a.m.
○ Students are tardy after 9:25 a.m.
○ Any student arriving after 9:25 a.m. will need to be escorted by a parent or guardian to the main entrance to be signed in.
○ Do not park in the fire lane as this may result in a ticket.

Parent Pick Up

○ The school day ends at 3:50 P.M.

○ Parents are encouraged to refrain from lining up for pick-up prior to 3:30 p.m. to eliminate congestion in parking lots during instructional hours.
○ If a student requires early dismissal for an appointment and/or family emergency, he/she must be signed out.

Everyday Parent Pick Up

○ All parents using everyday pick up must fill out this form: Everyday Pick Up Form

○ If a student is picked up everyday, they need to be registered with the office for "Everyday Parent Pick Up" tags 

○There will be a numbered tag placed on their book bag and a corresponding tag for you to keep visible in the car for pick up (front mirror of vehicle)

○Parents need to prepare to show their driver's license for identification

○ Only individuals indicated on the car rider registration form will be allowed to pick up the student

○ Students will not be allowed to switch back and forth between the bus and car rider program

Other Bus Tagging Procedures:
○ There will be a universal tagging system for PreK and K students riding the school bus for easy identification of these students. These tags will be used all year long and provided to each elementary school.
