On Tuesday, March 11th, the Suffolk Center for the Cultural Arts held the annual Sister Cities International Art Show opening reception. Students that participated had to make a piece of art based on the theme: Friendship - The Heartbeat of Global Peace. Students also had to write an artist statement about their artwork explaining how their piece represents the theme. Their artwork is judged on both their aesthetic qualities and their written statement by a panel of artists working in the Hampton Roads community.

Un voyage avec Mme Havlin and Mme Seavey! Friday November 8 approximately 40 KFHS students traveled to the Chrysler museum and La Brioche Bakery in Norfolk to experience a special exhibit Farm to Table in Impressionist France and a glass blowing demonstration. The menu included a croissant for breakfast, Croque Monsieur, Baguette and Macaron for lunch. Délicieux! In class students prepared by learning about French food and art movements, and culminated by creating an autoportrait and a speech about why to attend field trips!
