Teachers nominated students in 3rd-5th grade to join the journalism club.  Twenty-four students were selected.  First grade teacher, Mrs. Bales is the club coordinator.  5th grade student Zamari Halsey-Robinson was selected as editor.  4th grade students Tristin Johnson and Naomi Stokes are the assistant editors.

The purpose of this group is to learn about the news process.  Students practice interview skills, taking pictures, and even learn about graphic design.  The interviewing team has already had the opportunity to sit with our superintendent, Dr. Gordon!  They will create a newspaper for the school.  The first edition will be released in late winter.  Stay tuned for what the students have created!
