To help families who have work hours different from school hours, Suffolk Public Schools has several on-site before- and after-school programs. These programs are operated independently of Suffolk Public Schools and charge tuition.

AlphaBest offers before-and after-school care at the following locations:

• Elephant's Fork Elementary
• Florence Bowser Elementary
• Hillpoint Elementary
• Kilby Shores Elementary
• Mack Benn Jr. Elementary
• Nansemond Parkway Elementary
• Northern Shores Elementary
• Southwestern Elementary

Parks & Recreation Before- and After-School Programs at Elementary School Sites

The Suffolk Parks & Recreation offers before-school and after-school care at the following school-connected Recreation Centers for PreK-4 – 5th Grade. (PreK-4 participants must be enrolled in Suffolk Public Schools' Early Start Program)
